Not that it ever truly began, but Obama put the whole notion to bed last night with his indictment of Cambridge, Massachusetts Police during his press conference. The incident in question sounds like a he-said/he-said, but despite this, Obama decided to call the police “stupid” while at the same time admitting he didn’t know all the facts.
There’s two possibilities here: 1) President Obama is showing extreme political immaturity by inserting himself into the debate over the incident. 2) One could argue this is a much needed distraction from the health care debacle. A planned distraction, perhaps?
