The American Public: There Is No Hope

So the most interesting story in the news today is a new poll (and who can doubt polls after the recent election) that says if there is no deal reached on the fiscal cliff, most of the public will blame the GOP and reciprocally, if a deal is reached, Obama will get the credit.

So while we’re throwing anger in the direction of Saxby Chambliss, Lindsey Graham and Bob Corker for telling Grover Norquist to pound sand, I have to wonder if these guys don’t have it right. They represent idiots, so they have to govern accordingly. In the Obama Era, it all comes down to survival.

I say, let it come down. Let the Bush tax cuts expire, let us go over the fiscal cliff, let us elect another Bush to the White House…what the hell! When it all comes crashing down, and the public is screaming “Hey, wha happen?!” I’ll be ready with a full arsenal of snark the likes of which this country has never seen.

MORE: Pravda, yes…Pravda gets it.
